Response #4: Pgs. 123-184

Some interesting quotes I reading this section were: Lindt sounded a little embarrassed at the condition, and maybe the comfort, of his prisoners. (pg. 124), "Turn down the damn TV, Toto!" (pg. 125), "Leave my mom alone. Torment your own." (pg. 127), "Pop-Tarts on the road?" "Breakfast of champions." (pg. 129), The post card felt like it might burst into flame at any moment. (pg. 133), "I can't even grow a beard." (pg. 137), "Mmm...extra crunchy." (pg. 139), "Virden makes it's own rules." (pg. 140), "Water, right. He's saying something about a lot of water." (pg. 142), I'm pretty sure Coggans could get the reference librarian to try to take me out. (pg. 144), "I'm Avantika," she said. "And I'm also late for soccer." (pg. 146), My dad loved me. He loved his job. But he also loved Win. (pg. 150), "This wind is evil." (pg. 152), And then Win started screaming. (pg. 153), "Nice day, huh?" (pg. 155), I could have pointed out that removing the flag might be just crazy enough to work, but that would have been helpful. (pg. 156), Maybe having someone to listen to him bitch about a tailwind all night would have made his whole day worthwhile. (pg. 156), ...shoved his toolbox shrieking along the beat-up bottom. (pg. 159), "If a man don't know if he's had fresh peas, he ain't had fresh peas." (pg. 160), Pissed that I was pretty sure he knew exactly what he was doing... (pg. 162), ...something told me there'd be more gravy and possibly something else fried. (pg. 169), Take down, reversal, grapple, near pin, escape, repeat. (pg. 174), We were both smitten. (pg. 181), "Find him. That's what I came to do." (pg. 187).
Some thoughts I had reading this section were: It seems like Win is scouting out possible places to live or hide., Why does Ward lie so much, and can't he tell that Chris knows he's lying?
